Happy Easter

Easter Sunday was a wonderful day rejoicing in truth that Our Savior is ALIVE, indeed. Our church had a wonderful service and the spirit of Jesus was present among us.
IT was a blessing to have my parents with me at church. I conducted childrens' worship time and it the power of the spirit was felt there as well. After church we went home and had an Easter Egg hunt with the kids. They were able to search for their baskets and eggs left in the backyard by the "Easter Bunny" Brutus-even enjoyed in the fun helping the kids find their eggs.
We spent the rest of the morning relaxing and enjoying the beautiful weather. We then went up to my Uncle's house in NE Philly. Here we joined my sister, Don, Connor, and Mara. My brother and Emily met us there as well. It was great to see my cousins and have such a wonderful day blessed with family all around us.
My uncle made lamb, ham, and lasagna. Each of us brought sides and desserts so yes, there was plenty of food. The kids had a great time hunting for eggs, climbing in trees and playing football.

Swim for A Cure

Washington Township Girls team at Team Breakfast Washington Township and Cherry Hill West

This year the girls swim team joined up with Cherry Hill West and held a swim meet for Breast Cancer and Pancreatic Cancer. We raised over $4,000 for both causes. It was a great day. The parents had a breakfast for the team prior to the meet and the excitement of the day allowed us to have one of our best meets of the season. It was a very blessed day and it was great to show our love and support to those that have been affected by Breast and Pancreatic Cancer.

Brutus

So for those of you that may not know-we did get a dog. His name is BRUTUS. He is a Yorkie-Bichon mix. He was born Dec 16, 2009 and came into our home on Valentine's Day 2010. He is came home at 3lbs and now is close to 5lbs. He is so sweet and really good. We are blessed to have the help of our neighbor to help during the days when we are at work. He sleeps in his cage all night and is very playful with the kids. He has been a great addition to the family and we look forward to sharing his love with all of you as well.

Snow Snow and More Snow

Enjoying a great day out in the snow.
Building a tunnel through the fort.

Trying to get over the wall.

Natalie came over to have a snow ball fight.

It was a blizzard.

The dog's first day on snow. He was so light that he was able to walk on top of it.

Our snow man.
So it has been forever since I have been able to blog and most of that is related to coaching. But now as I sit here and finally have time to get my thoughts in order I realize how important my family is and the time I share with them priceless. For many of you know we have been hit with snow beyond belief. I don't even know exactly how much, but I do know it has been record breaking amounts. We just had a storm that they labeled a snowicane. It gaves us another 8 inches of snow. They are calling for another storm. This week. We have had over 6 days off of school total so far and March isn't over. God has blessed us with many things and the snow is a blessing as well. It has made me find ways to draw closer to him and in long days of work have been great to be able to spend unexpected weekdays with Dave and the kids. Hope you enjoyed the pictures we've shared.
