Carson's First Wrestling Match

Carson is ready to wrestle-He has watched others wrestle and is now ready for his turn. He is wrestling at 38lb weight class. A new sport for us and after watching the video-it might be something we have to get used to supporting. He loved every moment of it and even though he didn't win the match he won a medal and received a ribbon.

Cheer Video and Flag Football

Way to go Carson we are so proud of you!!!!!

Great job Peyton-keep that spirit up!!!!!

Back to School

It is that time of year again-time to go back to school. Peyton started 1st grade and is excited to meet her new teacher-Mrs. Burrell. Carson has been in school for a few days and loves Ms. B. He can't wait to see all the big kids that will be in the class with him this year. Who would be in Peyton's class was the big question. She was so excited to hear that her friends Alex and Julian are with her again. She has a long bus ride this year-an hour-she likes to take a nap on the way there. The full days have been challenging. After school we only have an hour and a half to get ready for cheer and football practice. It is not getting any easier with games starting as well. Dave is also in the middle of his season and on the days Peyton has a game he usually has one too. Carson's games are on Saturday's as well usually in the morning prior to Peyton's.

The kids are doing well adjusting to the crazy schedule and we have support from our wonderful neighbor's Phil and Flo.
The kids first days of school.

Carson's first flag football game. The played Gibbstown Falcons. Carson did great and scored two touch downs on his "Batman" play.

A busy weekend of cheerleading. Franklin Township Day and a game against Williamstown. The boys won and all had a great time.

Football Practice

Running his drills with coach.

Lining up to run some sprints.

Bear crawl drill.

His first game is on Wed. September 15th. Dave has waited 41 years to see this happen and I can't wait to be there cheering on the sidelines as well. Thank you God for blessing us with a son whose love of the game brings us so much joy. Protect him every step of the way.

First Day of Pre-School

Here he is-my little running back wearing his new football jersey. He is so proud to wear it because it was daddy's number in college. He is so excited to go to pre-school and meet all his new classmates. He is so excited and can't wait. I do think that he packed his whole room in his backpack/suitcase. He had his blankie, pillow, stuffed animal, and a lunch box. He had a long day-after school we didn't get much rest before it was time to go to practice. He loves football so much and is now spending nights watching it with daddy.

Grandma and the girls with their dolls. We had a great time. We ate lunch at the American Girl Cafe. The meal was 4 courses. It started with cinnamon rolls, followed by vegetables and fruit. For our entree we had a delicious chicken sandwich with an asian salad. The kids ate tic-tac-toe pizza and mac-n-cheese. For dessert we had chocolate mousse in a flower pot along with a cake and cookie. After we were done eating we were able to go around and look at all of the beautiful dolls in their displays.

Eating Lunch at American Cafe
Each girl was able to sit with their doll in a special high chair just for them. The dolls also got a special tea cup and saucer and the napkin holders were hair tie bows for the girls to keep.

American Girll Doll

Peyton looked through all of the cases to find her perfect match.
After a long search the doll was finally found-the last one of her kind. We were so thankful that she was able to get the one she wanted. The one that looked just like her. Brown hair, light skin, freckles-the only thing missing was pierced ears. So that was our next stop.

After her ears were pierced we were able to take her to lunch.

Our Trip to American Girl

Today we finally were able to fulfill Grandma's lifelong dream-taking her grand-daughters to get their first American Girl Doll. As babies they were given a bitty baby and now at 6 and after saving for a year they were able to get their doll. We started the day off early as we had to get the train at 10.

My first Football Practice

Getting Ready for his first practice. Carson is excited to wear his new cleats and sweatbands. I can't believe it is finally here. What a big day.
With his sister by his side to cheer him on every step of the way.

Following in his daddy's footsteps. Carson walks up to Pennyslvania Ave-not to watch but to meet his coach for the very first practice.

First we had to start off by stretching, lots and lots of stretching.

Getting ready to run some sprints. Learning our two point and three point stances.

At the end we huddle up as a team with the coach.

Marriott Cypress Harbor Resort

Dave, Peyton, and Carson enjoying a nice and relaxing day by the pool. We are so thankful that we were able to visit the clinic to get Carson some relief from swimmer's ear. He had to wear ear plugs and didn't like it, but by the end of his trip he was feeling much better.
Mom in front of the resort area.

Here is the view outside of our porch. The ramp goes to a shuttle that takes you over to the main pool area and clubhouse. This is where kids could rent paddleboats and boats to go fishing.

Relaxing by the pool. Here is a picture of the sauna/waterfall. The kids loved it and so did Poppy.

Here are a few other pictures from our resort area.

Here is some pictures of where we stayed. It was a beautiful resort. We had some fun as a family riding bikes and swimming. We were able to play miniature golf and play on the playground. They had a huge lake for paddle boats and fishing as well. There were 3 swimming pools, a sauna, and hot tubs. In one pool there was a bubble area and in the other pool a waterfall.
