On this plate, a chicken and blush sauce, fried cheese cubes in a peas and curry sauce, and a vegetable fritter. The easiest way to explain them-very good. We also had Tandoor Chicken and Naan-a flatbread.
Mark Engle was the leader for us this day. He runs the South Asian Friendship Center. The only community center in the Chicago area reaching out to the Muslim population. Which I have to say blew me away with the fact that it now is the 2nd largest religion.
This is the mosque that we visited. We had to wear long pants and shoulders covered, but all women that attended were covered completely. The men came in some casual dressed, some traditionally dressed in full coverings. The sign in the front reads: No One is worthy of worship except Allah, and Mohammad(SAW) is His Messenger.
